Use of the site
Verified Local Jobs is a public, free-to-browse regional job board. You may view, search, share, and link to any listing. You may not scrape the site at scale, automate fake applications, impersonate an employer or applicant, or attempt to break our infrastructure.
Listings & the verification promise
We confirm every listing with the employer before it goes live, and we re-verify each listing every seven days against the employer's own hiring system. Listings we can't confirm get archived, not deleted. This is the product's reason for being.
That said: we cannot guarantee an employer will respond to your application, interview you, or hire you. The apply button routes you to the employer's own system; what happens after that is between you and them.
Employer responsibilities
- Listings must represent real openings the employer is authorized to fill.
- Pay ranges, locations, and titles must be accurate to the role.
- Apply URLs must point at the employer's own ATS or HR contact.
- Filled or paused roles must be reported within seven days so we can archive them.
- Employers may not use the site to harvest applicants for unrelated marketing or pyramid-style recruitment.
We may archive listings without notice if these conditions aren't met.
Newsletter
Subscribing to the Tuesday digest is opt-in and free. Each email includes a one-click unsubscribe in the footer that removes you from both our newsletter platform (Buttondown) and our database.
Intellectual property
Listing copy, employer logos, and the like are the property of the employers we feature. The site design, written editorial copy, and our verification methodology are ours. Don't copy them wholesale without asking.
Disclaimer
Verified Local Jobs is provided "as is." We work hard at the verification promise but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access, perfect accuracy, or any specific outcome from using the site. Use of the site is at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, neither Verified Local Jobs nor Jake Schaaf is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including missed job opportunities or employer decisions.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts located in Hancock County, Ohio.
Changes
If we update these terms, we'll bump the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be noted in the next Tuesday digest. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance.
