Verified Local Jobs is operated by Jake Schaaf in Northwest Ohio. This policy describes what we collect, why, where it lives, and how to ask us to delete it. Reach us any time at hello@verifiedlocaljobs.com.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you subscribe to the
Tuesday digest. We also record which page you signed up from
(e.g.
coming-soon,homepage,city:findlay) and which region you opted into. No name, phone, or password. - Anonymized site analytics via Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cookieless, no fingerprinting, no IP retention.
- The contents of emails you send us. If you write to hello@verifiedlocaljobs.com, that thread sits in our inbox until the conversation is over.
What we don't collect
- No resumes, no applicant profiles. The apply button takes you to the employer's own system; we never see what you submit there.
- No account passwords for visitors. There is no visitor login.
- No advertising identifiers, no cross-site tracking, no third-party marketing pixels.
Where your data lives (sub-processors)
- Supabase (Postgres database, US region) — stores your subscription record (email, region, signup source, timestamp).
- Buttondown — operates the newsletter list and sends the Tuesday digest. They receive your email and a region tag.
- Resend — handles any transactional email we send you.
- Cloudflare — hosts the site, routes

Email digest
If you subscribe, you receive one short email each Tuesday with new verified jobs in your region. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link in the footer. Unsubscribing removes you from both Buttondown and our database.
How to delete your data
Email hello@verifiedlocaljobs.com from the address you signed up with, or use the unsubscribe link in any digest. We remove your subscriber record from Buttondown and our database within 7 days. There is no other data to delete.
Cookies
Only an essential session cookie used by the admin login (which you, as a visitor, will never see — admin is gated by an email allow-list). No advertising or analytics cookies.
Children
Verified Local Jobs is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that affects how we use your data, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, send a notice in the next Tuesday digest.
